Energetic recent graduate in organic chemistry with theoretical and practical skills.
During my bachelor’s program, I prepared my thesis on a literature analysis of specific semiochemicals. Thereby I gained insight into specific plants and their biosynthetic pathways to synthesize these secondary metabolites and became fascinated by the complexity and efficiency of these organisms. As part of my Master's program, I spent 5 months in the group of Prof. Moran and Dr. David Lebœuf at the Institute of Supramolecular Science and Engineering (ISIS) in Strasbourg (FR). I have been fully involved in the development of a new catalytic synthetic methodology employing HFIP. The results have already been submitted for publication.
As I developed a keen interest in natural product synthesis, I´m currently carrying out an internship in the Magauer group to gain further insight into the research area of total synthesis and to acquire practical and theoretical skills and competencies.
