My name Gianalberto Chini I’m 36 years old and I come from Predaia, a small village situated in the north of Italy.
My education consists entirely in a long computer science path that started at the Istituto Tecnico
Commerciale (Commercial Technical Institute) ITI Marconi di Rovereto where I was awarded the highest grade, to a Master’s Degree in Computer Science at the University of Trento. The Commercial
Technical Institute gave me the basis of how things work while the University gave me the theoretical approach to the science of information.
During my 10 years of study, I’ve participated in several projects: first at FBK Web Valley where I learned about GIS (geographical information system), my first thesis, “Ordered Slicing:
Implementation and large scale testing”), where I learned the basis of testing and deploying a distributed network and its algorithms. My third thesis, “Wireless Sensor Network For Assisted Living.
An advanced monitoring system for fall detection using WSN” was immediately followed by a scholarship that I won in FBK (Fondazione Bruno Kessler) in which I’ learned how to build and configure a Wireless Sensor Network and collect data from sensors.
When my education path ended, I found work in Modena in two companies, for two years, in which I worked in the Human Machine Interfaces for packaging and food machinery. On these occasions, I had the possibility to understand what work really means, communicating with the costumer and interacting in teams to realise something concrete that works.
Unfortunately due to terrible earthquake that happened in Modena, I left my company and, on the advice of a friend, I moved to Milan, completely changing my job and setting up a company selling smart alimentary products. This activity lasted for 10 years. In this experience I had the possibility to travel around the world: in fact, I went in Singapore, Hong Kong, the United States, Peru and the
United Kingdom. Due to Covid, however, I lost all my market-share and because Information
Technology was always been my passion, I’ve come back to the field. Consequently, in order to refresh my memory, I chose to come back to my origins and to enrol on the Alta Formazione course at
ITI Marconi in Rovereto to fill the gap in my knowledge left over 10 years.
I aspire to work in IOT, Blockchain and IA, mixing them together and bringing them out from our local worlds and bring them into everyday reality. I also have some ideas on how this can be done and I’m sure that if I find the right environment, my ideas will become a reality much more easily.
I would like to thank you for considering my application and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
