I am a passionate and creative accessory designer. I hold a bachelor's degree in footwear design and production, and currently, I am pursuing my Masters in Accessory Design and Management in Polidesign, Milan, Italy.
During the course of my studies, I completed a series of internships that allowed me to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of footwear design and production. This role as a footwear design intern familiarized me with the practical aspects of translating designs into products in the industry. Hands-on involvement allowed me to witness the manufacturing process up close and personally contributed to enhancing my design skills.
In my first year, I had the privilege to intern at VKC in Calicut, India, where I focused on understanding the designing and manufacturing PU footwear. This experience laid a strong foundation for my journey in the footwear industry.
In my second year, I undertook an internship at Happenstance, where I had the opportunity to contribute to the design of upcoming collections. This role also familiarized me with the practical aspects of translating designs into products.
However, it was during my final year that I truly delved into the complexities of footwear production.
Creations in Delhi, India, I managed the sampling of new products within the factory setting. This hands-on involvement allowed me to witness the manufacturing process up close and personally contributed to enhancing my design skills. Moreover, I was responsible for creating patterns for various styles of footwear, showcasing my proficiency in understanding and adapting to different design requirements.
My academic background at Footwear Design and Development Institute, Chennai, India, has equipped me with a solid foundation in footwear design, materials selection, and production processes. Through coursework, I gained proficiency in pattern making and prototype development, allowing me to transform creative concepts into tangible footwear products.
