I am a graduate (BA History and MA Social Work - distinction) from London but am moving to Rome, Italy in July and am currently completing my 120 hour TEFL qualification.
I have dual nationality citizenship (Italian and English) and hold the right to live and work in Italy. I speak Italian to a good working level. Full driving license holder.
I currently work as a social worker in the UK, which involves working in a multi-disciplinary team, safeguarding and supporting vulnerable people in the community. This has included work with a range of people, including those with physical or mental health concerns, disability, substance use and those seeking asylum in the UK. This has also included direct work with young people, supporting them and exploring their worries and their wishes for the future.
I have experience teaching and working with young people of a range of ages - from early childhood to teenagers. This has included a role as a teaching assistant in a school abroad, after-school schemes, nursery worker in the UK, tutoring children at my local library and childcare for a special needs child. I have also worked as a tutor for young people aged 6-14 and as a youth support worker with teenagers.
