Massimo Di Cristofaro is a drummer, teacher, and arranger. After graduating from the Conservatory “L. Perosi” of Campobasso in 2010, he gained extensive professional live music experience in both classical and jazz genres, including performing at the “Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto” with the “Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese.”
In 2010, Massimo moved to Rome, where he performed regularly in the “La Bella e la Bestia” and “Mamma Mia” shows at the Brancaccio Theatre. Meanwhile, he began teaching in public schools.
In the summer of 2013, he moved to New York, where he attended several drum classes with some of the best drum teachers in the world: Kenny Washington, Greg Hutchinson, and Tony Royster. Massimo also attended various masterclasses with great masters of drums, such as Lee Pearson, Roberto Gatto, Carl Allen, Sergio Bellotti, Mike Quinn, David Friedman, Luca Santaniello, Marco Valeri, Nicola Angelucci, and Roberto Pistolesi.
His collaborations include working with Lee Pearson, Takuya Kuroda, Fabrizio Bosso, Michael Supnick, Max Ionata, Hamiet Bluiett, Gianni Oddi, Roberto Schiano, Sandro Deidda, Vittorio de Angelis, Dario Rosciglione, Daniele Cordisco, Antonio D’Agata, Gaetano Partipilo, Beppe Vessicchio, Nicola Guida, Domenico Sanna, Seby Burgio, Eddy Cicchetti, and many others.
Diplomato brillantemente nella scuola di Strumenti a Percussione, presso il Conservatorio di Campobasso con votazione di 9,50/10 dopo varie esperienze classiche (Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese, Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto, Teatro Marrucino-Chieti, Teatro Brancaccio-Roma).
Converge tempestivamente sulla Batteria e frequenta varie Master Class in Italia Con: Lee Pearson, Roberto Gatto, Carl Allen, Sergio Bellotti, Mike Quinn, Massimo Manzi fino ad arrivare a NY ed avere il Piacere e la fortuna di studiare con i Master della Batteria: Kenny Washington, Gregory Hutchinson, Rudy Royston.
