A proficient Electrical Engineer with a strong foundation in both electrical and mechanical engineering, developed through my Bachelor's in Renewable Energy Engineering. A dynamic person with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving energy efficiency and innovation in electrical engineering. I actively engage in research and development internships, participating in technical engineering competitions to broaden my skills and foster my ability to work effectively within diverse teams.
I have hands-on experience in research, project leadership, and technical development, primarily in the fields of renewable energy and electric vehicles. During my internship at the Smart Grids Lab at NUST, I conducted research on passive cooling techniques for photovoltaic panels, developing a mathematical model for temperature distribution using MATLAB and acquiring circuit data with LabVIEW. As a part of the Zewail City Wind Energy Team, I worked on controlling the pitching system of a wind turbine using a microcontroller.
My internship with Siemens Energy allowed me to delve into energy efficiency, management, and industrial automation, enriching my understanding of the energy sector.
My passion for electric vehicles motivated me to actively work toward joining my university's racing team in 2020, which is competing in one of Egypt's most challenging racing contests (Electric Vehicles Rally). Despite being the team's youngest member, I have demonstrated a high level of activity and commitment. I worked in the Ergonomics and Chassis sub team, but I was motivated to do extra tasks to broaden my understanding of different aspects of electric vehicles.
My tasks allowed me to develop various skills including using Catia, SolidWorks, Ansys, and Matlab software. The commitment I had shown to the team in the first year led me to be nominated and chosen as the next team leader. In the first year, the team was responsible for designing and manufacturing a one-seater electric vehicle, and in the second year, a facelift for the same vehicle.
My second-year tasks allowed me to develop my design, modeling, and simulation skills besides the management ones. I worked on modeling the drive cycle, the braking system, and the vehicle environment dynamics, besides designing and assembling the vehicle's mechanical parts. Being the team leader enriched my knowledge of electric vehicle systems and reinforced my desire to pursue a career in this area.
This diverse experience has strengthened my expertise in the automotive field, energy efficiency, and team collaboration in engineering projects.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano (2023–present), focusing on Renewable Sources, Transport, Design, and Automation, with an average grade of 24.5/30. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Renewable Energy Engineering from the University of Science and Technology at Zewail City (2018–2023), graduating with a GPA of 3.28/4. My coursework has covered a broad range of subjects, including Power Electronics, Control Systems, Electric Vehicles, Electric Machines, Wind Energy, Power Systems, and Smart Grids.
My bachelor's thesis focused on the battery state of lithium-ion Battery Management Systems, showcasing my interest in energy storage and management systems.
