Monomers and Raw Materials Provisioning Manager at Solvay Specialty Polymers (2022-01 – Present)

My key activities are: planning of the main monomers (TFEM and HFP) produced and consumed by finished products; material balance of the site; raw materials check and provisioning; inventory target, levels and counting; Algofrene (R22) planning; hydrochloric acid sales plan. I provide the forecast for critical raw materials such as hydrofluoric acid and chloroform in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. I attend recurrent safety meetings and monomers daily briefing, weekly maintenance checks, Audits. I manage slow moving and disposal process. There is a strong networking with Tavaux for some monomers supply (HF, HFP, VF2).

Non routinary activities are: support to Manufacturing in case of raw materials shortage, unplanned shutdown, supplier issues; A Effect training. I am also working on an optimization project on Fluids packaging to follow production volumes increase and I am making available my technical background to add value to the current practices in Supply Chain.

Fixed and variable costs management

• Profit and Loss (P&L) analysis; closing activities involving external stakeholders; utilities and production variances, monomers price evolution; monthly reports on the biggest value deviations (> 100k)

• Production fixed and variable costs, Budget of fixed costs preparation and quarterly Bridge, unitary costs, deviations from budget

• Capex and Opex, main finance KPIs. Participation to Manufacturing excellence initiatives (e.g.fixed costs improvment project)

• GMO (gross margin optimization), maintenance and purchasing improvement activities. Controlling training provided to non finance functions in Spinetta plant.

Italy Assets Operation Manager at Solvay Energy Services (2016-04 – 2018-04)

I worked in Solvay Energy Services GBU where I managed three Cogeneration units in Italy: Spinetta Marengo (SSPI), Massa (Solvay Chimica) and Porto Marghera (SSPI) cogeneration units produce steam and electrical power for the sites. In my perimeter I had the management of assets, KPIs, business plans follow up, suppliers agreements, maintenance activities, people management, CAPEX and investments. I was the start up leader of Spinetta Cogeneration gas turbine, working with internal and external stakeholders and achieving the integration process between the previous owner company and Solvay Specialty Polymers.

I worked also with lawyers to finalize all the agreements among the EEco company and Solvay Specialty Polymers analyzing all the financial impacts.

Europe Ecko Business Leader and Quality Change Leader in Spinetta (Labware Implementation) at Solvay Specialty Polymers (2014-04 – 2016-04)

Implementation of Ecko tool for the GBU for the automatic calculation of the OEE KPI (Spinetta, Tavaux, Oudenaarde). Implementation of Labware tool for the full QC traceability of the product quality from raw material until the finished product. Application of the Manufacturing excellence best practices in all Spinetta QC laboratories. Team work with external stakeholders (supplier of the Labware tool) and internal: Manufacturing and IT functions.

Global Supply Chain Planner WW and Picaso Team Leader at Solvay Solexis (2010-03 – 2014-04)

Global Supply Chain Planner for Solvay Solexis (Fluorinated products) Worldwide. From 04/2011 with the merge between Fluoropolymers and Aromatics and the creation of Solvay Specialty Polymers: Business Supply Chain Project leader worldwide for the implementation of Picaso planning tool. I lead the Picaso project in Solvay Specialty Polymers in Europe, China and USA; I worked in multicultural teams coordinating the Business Unit resources in all the plants and the external stakeholders.

Europe Lean Manager at Solvay Solexis (2008-11 – 2010-02)

I was the Lean Manager in Spinetta and I implemented the Manufacturing excellence approach in the European sites (Italy, Belgium and France) managing an interfuncional dedicated team, focused on each area (maintenance, production, QC). I lead the first european lean team that in Spinetta (as a pilot) was the start up of the Manufacturing excellence function as it is today.
