Flight Dynamics Analyst

I am currently working as an external consultant at Leonardo Helicopters in their Flight Mechanics department in Cascina Costa.
The main focus of the department is the development of engineering models used for performance prediction, experimental flight preparations and legal certifications. The day to day activities space between model development and validation, flight data analysis, software development, data visualization and flight dynamics simulations for certification.
I have worked for almost three years in this position, finding it very fascinating.
I have completed the Master of Science degree in Aeronautical engineering in Politecnico di Milano, with a specialization in Rotary Wings. I worked for 5 months at Czech Technical University in Prague for my final thesis “Navigation solution with enhanced data validation”, a theoretical and experimental study on data validation of GNSS signal in multipath and outage conditions, tested on helicopters and other aircraft.
With a complete course of “On Board Systems and Integration” I improved my experience on Kalman filtering and various navigation solutions. This is what brought me to follow professor Jan Roháč in Prague to work on my final thesis.
This experience of working alone and remotely has tested my workforce and made me more responsible, but a team-based environment spurs me at my best. I found myself at ease with others when I worked on multiple team projects performed in the MSc, contributed in the two times winning team of Politecnico of Milano round of European Best Engineering Competition (EBEC) and in sustained team efforts in a local basketball team.
I have had the luck of living 2 years in the United States in the early 2000s. This helped me greatly with my knowledge of English and gave me a very different perspective of the world.
I welcome the opportunity to speak with you if you see me as a strong candidate for this or any position in your organization.
