To whom it may concern,
Since I can remember I have been passionate about topics surrounding health, informing my community about health topics and executing health tactics I learned from university. From my experiences in the health sector and Jordan’s recent refugee crisis I became more passionate for the topic of health in the nonprofit sector and especially in health awareness projects.
My first job out of college was as a medical technologist at Med Labs Consultancy. I learned to successfully understand and master topics relating to diseases, symptoms and treatments, specifically in Jordan. As a medical technologist I worked with blood tests, patients, administrative work and creating and publishing reports.
During my time there I was also a medical stock officer where I was in charge of organizing, purchasing and reporting resources for the consultancy group and learned to manage my time and network with those around me.
Since 2016 I have been working at the Jordan Red Crescent, first as a project officer assistant and now as a project officer for the CBHFA program (community based health and first aid program). Through my time here at the Jordan Red Crescent I have learned a great deal in the variety of health topics we educate our volunteers and communities about and I am able to train large groups of volunteers about these topics. I am in charge of creating and publishing reports for trainings, monthly meetings, volunteer activities, and yearly narratives for the partners.
During my time here I also oversaw the creation, implementation and execution of new Jordan Red Crescent branches in Irbid, Mafraq and Ajloun, where we also implemented and started the CBHFA programme in these branches. I am also responsible for the program implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the targeted community, volunteers and the program as a whole. I also manage my own team of volunteers and employees for the CBHFA programme where I am successful in creating efficient and effective work from both sides.
As a project officer here I am responsible for all aspects of the budget of the programme according to the donor regulations.
Through my work at previous organizations I have built a strong sense of leadership, teamwork, passion for positive work environments and work that helps people all around us. I have demonstrated the ability to handle diverse work environments and learned to coordinate daily tasks, organize workflow and develop, manage and train a team of interns and volunteers, and create crucial reports and grants by the given deadline.
I would be a good fit for this position because I will be able to use my skills from my wide array of experiences to be flexible with any task given to me. I expect to gain the necessary knowledge to further my career in nonprofit and governmental work.
Sincerely,
(CBHFA) Project Officer Jordan Red Crescent
