Android Developer (B2C・Core Feature Development)

About the Company A leading global consumer technology company with a large-scale social and digital platform is hiring an Android Engineer for its Fukuoka office.

You will work on core features of a widely used Android application, covering everything from new feature development and product improvements to large-scale refactoring and modernization of an existing codebase.

Because the product operates at significant scale across multiple markets, you'll have the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects with a direct impact on millions of users. You will also collaborate with engineering teams across Asia and other international locations to ensure consistency across products, modules, and overall architecture.

What would you be doing?

• Design, develop, and maintain core Android features while considering the overall product architecture and scalability.
• Contribute to the modernization and refactoring of a large existing codebase using technologies such as Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Kotlin Coroutines.
• Propose product improvements, technical solutions, and architectural approaches based on your engineering expertise.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across different teams and locations.

What kind of experience are we looking for?

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience, preferably with Kotlin.
• Experience working in a collaborative engineering environment with code reviews.
• Practical experience with modern Android development, such as Jetpack Compose and Kotlin Coroutines.
• Business-level communication skills in either English or Japanese.
• Experience working with large-scale applications or complex codebases is a plus.
