Bridge System Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Bridge System Engineer (BrSE) to work onsite in Tokyo and Yokohama, acting as the primary communication bridge between Japanese clients and our offshore development team in Vietnam.

You will play a key role in requirement clarification, technical coordination, and project delivery management to ensure high-quality software solutions that meet client expectations.

The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, excellent Japanese communication skills, and practical experience in software development or project coordination within offshore projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the main point of contact between Japanese clients and the Vietnam development team.
• Analyze, clarify, and document business requirements from Japanese clients.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for the development team.
• Support system design discussions, technical proposals, and solution architecture alignment.
• Coordinate project planning, task allocation, progress tracking, and risk management.
• Facilitate meetings, daily communication, and reporting between stakeholders.
• Review deliverables (design documents, source code, test cases) to ensure quality and alignment with client expectations.
• Support UAT, deployment, and post-release issue handling when required.

REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development, project coordination, or BrSE role.
• Japanese proficiency at JLPT N2 or above — capable of discussing technical topics and negotiating directly with Japanese clients.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, system design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience or solid understanding of Java-based enterprise application development and related ecosystems (Spring Framework, REST APIs, Microservices, etc.).
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services, cloud architecture concepts, and modern deployment practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to discuss technical solutions with customers and engineering teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with Japanese clients in offshore development projects.
• Experience in system integration or enterprise system development.
• Good English communication skills.
• Experience as a Technical Lead, Team Lead, or Project Coordinator is a plus.
