Business-level English (mandatory) Role Overview
This role will lead GlobalLogic’s Japan-based Digital Sales (BDR) team supporting Google Cloud. The BDR Lead will be responsible for managing a high-volume, customer-facing qualification engine that drives early-stage pipeline creation and ensures strong opportunity readiness for downstream sales and pre-sales teams. The role will oversee a team of rebadged and newly hired BDRs, establish structured qualification standards, and ensure seamless handoffs into the DSR/DCE and Google sales motions.
This role reports to the Japan Digital Sales & Pre-Sales Leader and serves as the single owner for Japan BDR execution and performance. Key Responsibilities
- BDR Team Leadership (Primary Accountability)
Lead and manage ~25–30 BDRs supporting Google Cloud motions
Integrate rebadged resources into GlobalLogic processes and culture
Drive high activity discipline, pipeline hygiene, and performance accountability
Establish clear stage ownership and qualification standards at Stage 0–Stage 1 2. Qualification & Pipeline Creation
Ensure structured opportunity qualification using BANT and use-case alignment
Drive consistent execution of outbound prospecting and MQL follow-up
Improve lead-to-opportunity conversion quality
Ensure strong contextual handoffs to DSR/DCE and Google sales teams 3.

Enablement & Capability Building
Assess existing BDR skill levels and define growth pathways
Coach teams on objection handling, value articulation, and sales messaging
Drive onboarding and continuous readiness programs
Align team skills with Google campaign priorities and product focus areas 4. Stakeholder & Campaign Collaboration
Work closely with Google Sales, Marketing, and DCE teams
Align BDR campaigns with Google product focus and sales priorities
Act as escalation point for qualification quality or execution gaps
Contribute to global best-practice sharing Required Experience & Skills
Must-Have
8–12 years in BDR, Sales Development, or Inside Sales roles
3+ years leading customer-facing sales or qualification teams
Strong knowledge of qualification frameworks (BANT, MEDDIC fundamentals)
Experience in high-volume outbound sales environments
Native or fluent Japanese, strong business communication skills
CRM proficiency (Salesforce or similar) Good to Have
Exposure to cloud or SaaS selling environments
Experience working with Google ecosystem or hyperscalers
Experience in structured outbound campaign management
Familiarity with global sales delivery models
