What you’ll do

As Client Services Manager (Project Manager), you’ll take a hands-on leadership role in the successful delivery and ongoing management of Mercury implementations across Japan. You’ll be the primary owner of customer relationships, accountable for delivery quality, customer satisfaction, and long-term adoption.

You’ll combine structured project management with trusted relationship ownership, working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful outcomes from implementation through to steady-state support.

Here’s what you can expect to be involved in:

  • Owning the end-to-end delivery of Mercury implementations in Japan
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for customers throughout implementation and ongoing engagement
  • Leading project planning, delivery governance, and go-live activities
  • Coordinating internal teams including Product Consultants, Application Support, and Engineering
  • Managing risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests effectively
  • Ensuring smooth transition from implementation to business-as-usual support
  • Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, adoption, and retention
  • Building strong, long-term customer relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of delivery standards and customer engagement practices in Japan

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a confident, customer-focused leader who is comfortable balancing structured delivery with relationship ownership. You’ll enjoy working with senior stakeholders, solving complex problems, and taking accountability for outcomes.

We’re looking for

  • Senior-level experience delivering complex enterprise software or SaaS implementations
  • Strong project leadership skills, including multi-workstream coordination and formal governance
  • Proven ability to engage, influence, and manage senior and executive-level customer stakeholders
  • Experience delivering business-critical systems with high data integrity and operational requirements
  • Ability to balance delivery discipline with long-term, trusted client relationships
  • Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English

Bonus points for

  • Experience in recruitment, staffing, or professional services environments
  • Familiarity with CRM, ATS, or ERP platforms

Location

This role is based in Tokyo, with a hybrid working model that supports a mix of office-based collaboration and remote working. We value face-to-face connection while recognising the importance of flexibility.
