Cloud Engineer - Enterprise Cloud Adoption

Japanese Language: Business Level A cloud infrastructure team within a major Japanese corporate group is hiring an experienced Cloud Engineer to drive cloud adoption across multiple companies in the group. You'll work beyond the scope of any single business — designing, building, and operating cloud platforms, then standardizing the knowledge into reusable patterns and rolling them out at scale. Depending on the project, you'll flex across Cloud Engineer, PM, consultant, and forward-deployed engineering roles.
Environment & what you'll do
- Lead cloud migration, generative-AI infrastructure, and in-house development support projects
- Design for availability, security, and cost on an IaC and multi-cloud foundation
- Standardize best practices and deploy them horizontally across group companies
- Run technical study sessions to raise group-wide capability
- Collaborate with developer, SRE, AI, and security teams
Tech stack
- Cloud: AWS (primary), Azure, Google Cloud
- IaC / CI-CD: Terraform, GitHub Actions
- Monitoring: New Relic, PagerDuty
- Agentic coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot)
- Collaboration: Jira, Confluence, Notion, Slack
Requirements
- 5 years designing, building, and operating AWS
- 1 year with Infrastructure as Code
- Production incident response and root-cause analysis
- Business-level Japanese
- Nice to have: Azure/GCP, Terraform, SRE/Platform Engineering, observability, team or tech lead experience
