Role Description

As a Cloud Engineer at REHASAKU, you will work full time on-site in Tokyo, Japan, designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure for the exercise therapy platform. You will build and optimize scalable, secure, and highly available systems, collaborating with software developers to ensure smooth deployment and integration of application services. Daily tasks include managing Linux-based environments, configuring and monitoring databases, automating infrastructure operations, and improving performance and reliability.

You will also participate in troubleshooting, incident response, and continuous improvement of the platform’s architecture, working closely with cross-functional teams to support new features and business needs.

Qualifications

• Software Development, with experience in writing clean, maintainable code and collaborating with engineering teams.
• ability to use ai tools effectively (gemini, claude, codex)
• Infrastructure skills, including system design, networking fundamentals, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Cloud Computing, with hands-on experience in public cloud platforms AWS, GCP and cloud-native services.
• proficiency in Linux, including administration, scripting, monitoring, and performance tuning in production environments.
• practical experience with Databases, including configuration, optimization, backup, and monitoring of relational or NoSQL systems.
• familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, security best practices, and observability tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, communicate clearly, and document technical decisions is essential.
• No educational background does not matter as long as you can solve the problem.
