FP&A Analyst – Japan

FP&A Analyst plays a critical role for DCS Japan Finance team to strengthen finance functions. This position is expected to provide immediate stakeholders (Finance Manager, Controller, Finance Director) with datasets which enable Finance team to deliver financial inputs to the stakeholders. OUTCOMES
Financial Planning and Analysis
Support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process
Support and maintain complex financial models to evaluate the business in finance language (like monthly board reporting)
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and analysis (e.g. variance analysis, trend analysis)
Decision Making Support
Work closely with Finance Managers so that they can evaluate business performances appropriately
Provide commentaries for report development based on financial analysis
Report KPI analysis and its progress
Financial System and Process Improvement
Automate and improve reporting tools and templates
Work closely with colleagues in Finance to ensure data integrity and suggest changes whenever/wherever required
Other ad-hoc tasks
As Colt DCS Japan Finance is in a stage of transformation, required tasks are not limited to the above mentioned. THE TEAM The role forms a core part of the DCS finance team in Japan. This position initially reports to Japan Finance Director directly until Finance functions complete re-organisation in full house, and it is expected to change the reporting line to Finance Manager later this year or early next year to tackle Finance matters more effectively.
THE SKILLS / EXPERTISE YOU BRING Entrepreneurial mindset to enjoy and accelerate Finance transformation.
Professional financial qualification or graduate level degree in a finance related field (CPA and/or related qualification is a plus).
3+ years in a similar role.
Strong analytical skill and finance knowledge with logical thinking mentality.
Native level Japanese and business level English language skills (verbal and written both) are required to support the needs of local stakeholders, overseas Colt offices and international stakeholders.
Ability to quickly adapt to new requests and a changing business environment while effectively prioritizing tasks.
