What if the next system you helped make reliable was a quantum computer?

We are supporting an ambitious deep-tech organisation seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to build the operational infrastructure behind an advanced quantum computing platform.

This is a true 0→1 opportunity. You will not inherit a finished environment. You will design and build the CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, observability, testing and operational processes needed to move a complex scientific system towards stable, long-duration operation.

You will work across

🔹 CI/CD and release automation

🔹 Monitoring, logging, metrics and alerting

🔹 Hardware-in-the-Loop and regression testing

🔹 Configuration management, upgrades and rollbacks

🔹 Incident response and root-cause analysis

🔹 Python-based automation and operational tooling

🔹 Reliability across software, hardware and physical environments

We are looking for

✅ 5+ years in DevOps, SRE or systems engineering

✅ Strong Linux and production reliability experience

✅ CI/CD, deployment automation and observability expertise

✅ Python or equivalent automation experience

✅ Professional English and business-level Japanese

✅ The ability to make sound technical decisions in an evolving environment

Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, high-availability systems or scientific equipment would be advantageous.
