The Role

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the Business Unit, aligning plans with global business unit strategy and regional goals.
• Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.
• Monitor financial performance and key KPIs, conduct variance analyses, and develop action plans with business and regional stakeholders.
• Partner with operations and commercial teams to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
• Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting to global and regional finance, translating complex data into clear insights and ensuring consistency with group-wide standards.
• Work with finance teams and leaders of legal entities across the region to align business unit objectives with entity-level operations, compliance, and statutory reporting within local legal frameworks.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the Business Unit, supporting strategic initiatives such as market expansion, M&A, capital investments, and transformation projects through scenario modeling and investment appraisals.
• Collaborate with global finance peers, regional colleagues, and local entity CFOs to share best practices and foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Your Skills

• Fluent Japanese and business ~ high business level English (reporting to APAC HQ in English)
• Financial planning and analysis and controlling experience, with a business partnering track record
• Manufacturing industry experience nice to have, but not required
