Role Description The Head Concierge is a full-time, on-site role based at Hyatt Regency Tokyo. This role oversees the concierge team and ensures guests receive exceptional, personalized service from arrival to departure. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing guest inquiries, arranging reservations and transportation, coordinating special requests, and curating local recommendations that enhance the guest experience.
The Head
Concierge collaborates closely with front office, reception, and other hotel departments to maintain seamless operations and high service standards. The role also involves training and mentoring concierge team members, handling complex guest situations, and maintaining strong relationships with local vendors and service providers.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in concierge services, including managing guest inquiries, organizing itineraries, and coordinating special requests.
- Strong skills in handling reservations for dining, transportation, events, and local activities.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and external partners.
- Experience with receptionist duties and front office coordination in a luxury hotel environment.
- Proven customer service skills with a focus on personalized, high-quality guest experiences.
- Previous leadership experience in hospitality or concierge services, preferably in an upscale or luxury property.
- Fluency in English and Japanese; additional languages are an advantage.
- Strong local knowledge of Tokyo, especially Shinjuku, including dining, cultural attractions, and transportation options.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
- Relevant hospitality education or certifications are beneficial.
