IT Support Technician

About the Role Global Vision Multimedia is looking for an On-site IT Support Technician to join our Tokyo office.

You will be the first point of contact when employees need help with their IT equipment or when something stops working — whether it's setting up a new laptop, unlocking an account, connecting a printer, or troubleshooting a meeting room display.

You don't need to know everything from day one. We are looking for someone who is reliable, hands-on, comfortable working with people, and willing to learn. You will work closely with our wider IT team, who will provide guidance and support as you develop your technical skills.

This is an entry-level position with a clear opportunity to grow into a broader IT infrastructure and networking role.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain laptops, desktops, and mobile devices for new and existing employees.
• Provide basic user support for account and access issues, including password resets and account unlocks across Microsoft 365, Lark, and other company systems.
• Support employees and visitors with Wi-Fi, printers, meeting room equipment, and other shared office technology.
• Act as the first point of contact for basic network and Wi-Fi issues, resolving problems where possible and escalating more complex issues to the wider IT team.
• Perform hands-on installation and maintenance of IT equipment, cabling, and other hardware under the guidance of the wider IT team.
• Work with the Office Administration team to support employee joiners and leavers, including device preparation, account setup, device resets, and account closure.
• Support the rollout of new IT systems and projects across the company, including equipment setup and basic user training.
• Document technical issues clearly and provide useful troubleshooting information when escalating issues to the wider IT team.
• Maintain clear records of IT equipment, configurations, and support activities.
• Develop practical knowledge of network hardware, configuration, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
• Continue learning and gradually take on more advanced IT infrastructure and networking responsibilities.
