Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced PHP/Laravel Lead Engineer to support the modernization of a large-scale admin platform. This role will lead backend API development efforts, provide technical guidance to engineers, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery within an Agile environment. The successful candidate will combine strong hands-on development expertise with leadership capabilities and a passion for delivering scalable, maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead backend development initiatives using PHP and Laravel.
• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs leveraging existing architecture and development standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development team members.
• Review technical solutions and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical discussions.
• Write and maintain unit tests to support application stability and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Monitor development progress and ensure timely delivery of assigned features.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and engineering practices.

Technical Skills

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience developing applications with PHP and Laravel.
• Proven experience building and maintaining REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and backend system design.
• Experience with unit testing and code quality practices.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong understanding of version control systems such as Git.

Leadership Skills

• Experience leading engineers or technical initiatives.
• Ability to provide technical direction and coaching.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate work across multiple team members while maintaining delivery quality.

Language Requirements

• Professional-level English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a global and multicultural environment.

• Experience with Vue.js.
• Full-stack development experience.
• Experience working on platform modernization or migration projects.
