Job Description Summary:

Key Duties

  • Lead, coordinate and implement CAPEX investments, equipment installations & process improvement projects for CPS Japan Moriyama Plant. Scope includes hands-on site acceptance tests, commissioning, installation qualififcation, operational qualification and performance reviews.
  • Review and improve the manufacturing processes to ensure effective and efficient practices are executed. Recommend, innovate and implement revised methods and processes in the plant.
  • Trouble-shoot and resolve technical problems for all manufacturing work centers and plant facilities.
  • Provide Engineering support to all other functions in the plant.

Qualifications / Competencies

  • Proficieny in English / Japanese

  • Project management skills including planning and organizing

  • Influencing skills

  • Ability to identify problems, root cause and preventative measures

  • Strong knowledge of PIDs, pipefitting, electrical, controls, pumps, mixers, compressors, welding, general building repair

  • Willingness to take ownership in maintaining facilities and pride in results of work

  • Team oriented, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude

  • Be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload

Related Experience Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • At least 3 years relevant experience is essential (project execution, equipment installation commissioning and validation), preferably in a food manufacturing industry

  • Demonstrate experience of delivering enhancements to systems is required

  • Ease of written and oral expression in English

  • Willing to take challenges, show confidence in ambiguous situations
