Project Manager

Position Outline

In the position, we are looking for a dynamic project manager who can take one or more technical ownership and responsibilities during the product and project development also he/she should have the capability to solve any kind of business problem. The person should be highly skilled in one or more project management methodologies and do not afraid to come out of one's comfort zone and jump into the unknown project management world. Very much tech and business focus and create a perfect bridge between business and tech team.

Responsibilities

• Plan project timeline and drive team progress accordingly
• Coordinate internal/external resources to ensure that all projects are delivered on time within scope and budget
• Communicate proactively; manage stakeholder expectations and enable informed decisions by continuously producing output
• Manage roles, scope, time, quality, risk, procurement, stakeholders and communication by applying appropriate project management techniques
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Negotiate and obtain agreement on changes to scope, schedule and budget through the organization’s change management process
• Define, implement and ensure that project processes are followed and are adapted as required using the Rakuten Project Management Methodology (RPMM) as a guide
• Facilitate meetings efficiently, and create and distribute meetings minutes as needed

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree (BS) in Engineering, Economics, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of project management experience
• Experience in working in cross-cultural development teams
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and the ability to communicate with clarity and confidence at all levels; adapt style and content to the needs of the audience.
• Knowledge on project management methodologies
• Experience in both Agile and Waterfall projects
• Experience with management tools, e.g. JIRA/Confluence

Desired Qualifications

• A recognized qualification in project management (e.g. PMP) is desirable
• QA experience or technical background
