Research Engineer

Overview:

Our client is building a research and development team for Japan in order to advance the progression of 5G/6G mobile infrastructure for future AI at scale.

We are looking for experienced engineers and researchers across a range of hardware disciplines who can contribute to the research, development, design, simulation, testing and verification of advanced radio technologies.

We would welcome interest from researchers and engineers with skills in any of the following areas:

• RF and radio hardware design
• Power Amplifier (PA) design, including PA architectures, GaN, LDMOS and DPD
• RF filter design, including filter technologies, fabrication processes and RF simulation
• Radio functional and system design, including control algorithms, antenna calibration and Passive Intermodulation (PIM) cancellation
• Embedded systems and embedded software
• High-power DC/DC converters and board power design
• Power electronics, point-of-load regulators, isolated converters and magnetic components
• RF, power and system simulation, using tools such as ADS, AWR and HFSS
• Mechanical design for RF and radio products, including cavities, housings, shielding and PIM-sensitive structures
• PCB/PBA integration, schematic design and PCB layout
• EMI/EMC, thermal, environmental and reliability design
• Prototype development, lab testing, measurement, verification and troubleshooting
• 5G/LTE and future 6G radio technologies
• Radio product development from concept through verification and volume production
