Senior Software Engineer | Tokyo | ¥7M–¥11M , hybrid (once a week in office)

I’m currently hiring for a Senior Software Engineer to join a growing Japanese tech company building products that improve productivity across Japan’s service industry.

This is a great opportunity for a senior engineer who enjoys end-to-end development, technical ownership, and working on products used by major enterprise customers in Japan.

• TypeScript / Node.js
• React
• Nest.js / Prisma
• MongoDB / Redis
• AWS
• Vercel

What you’ll work on

• Build features across frontend and backend
• Design and evolve scalable system architecture
• Work on challenging problems around performance, data modeling and integrations
• Improve reliability and maintainability
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to technical decisions
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Business and Operations

Looking for

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong TypeScript experience
• 2+ years with React
• Strong backend and database knowledge
• Experience building reliable production systems
• Good cross-functional communication skills

English-speaking environment

English is the primary working language, and the interview process is conducted in English. Japanese is not required. Conversational Japanese or a willingness to learn is a plus.

Tokyo. Once a week in office.

Flexible working hours, core time 11:00–16:00

¥7M–¥11M annual salary
