Software Deployment Engineer (SDE)

The Software Deployment Engineer (SDE) will works alongside some of Japan’s leading companies to implement cutting-edge AI models in real-world business environments and enable AI-native business transformation.

Rather than stopping at Proof of Concept (PoC), the role focuses on building production systems that become embedded in business operations, continuously deliver results, and create competitive advantages for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement LLM and Generative AI technologies for strategic enterprise customers
• Design and implement solutions based on the technical scope and architecture defined by FDEs
• Deliver end-to-end implementations, from prototype development through production deployment
• Work closely with customer engineering teams and business stakeholders
• Implement improvements based on model evaluations (Evals) and operate continuous feedback loops
• Collaborate with Product, Research, and Security teams at OpenAI and SB OAI Japan

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• End-to-end experience across design, implementation, and operation of products or platforms
• Experience designing and implementing production-quality code using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
• Experience building and operating systems in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience designing and implementing application features using LLMs / Generative AI
• Practical experience with development operations using GitHub / DevOps, including CI/CD or automation
• Japanese: Business level or above
