Technical Project Manager

Job title: Technical Project Manager (TPM)

Job type: Full-time Onsite

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Language: English & Japanese Proficiency – N2/N1 mandatory, fluent/native

Expected Experience:

Typically four (4) to eight (8) years of experience in technical project or delivery management.

Technical Skills:

Delivery planning, dependency and risk management, coordination of cross-functional teams, and tracking of delivery milestones.

Technical Knowledge Areas:

Software development life cycle (SDLC), agile and hybrid delivery methodologies, release planning, and delivery reporting.

Soft Skills:

Strong organizational capability, stakeholder management, clear written and verbal communication, and delivery accountability.

Language Requirements:

Fluent Japanese proficiency is required. Business-level English proficiency is desired.

Typical Technology exposure & Trainings

• Strong understanding of SDLC for AI, data, and platform projects
• Agile / Scrum / SAFe delivery methodologies
• Experience managing AI/ML, data platform, or cloud modernization programs
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, release management, and environment management (Dev/Test/Prod)
• Risk management, dependency tracking, and milestone planning
• Budgeting, cost tracking, and vendor management
• Familiarity with compliance, audit, and governance requirements (GDPR, SOC2, ISO)
