🚀 Workato Developer – Japan (Contract)

A leading mobility technology company in Japan is looking for an experienced Workato Developer to help build and scale enterprise-wide integrations across critical business platforms.

You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to design, develop, and maintain automated workflows that connect enterprise applications and streamline operations. This is a highly hands-on integration engineering role focused on automation, APIs, system connectivity, and workflow optimization.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Workato Development

• Design, develop, and deploy Workato recipes to automate business processes across multiple enterprise systems
• Build scalable integrations that support business operations and data exchange between platforms
• Develop reusable and maintainable automation solutions using Workato best practices

🔹 Custom Connectors &

• API Integration

• Build custom connectors using the Workato SDK when standard connectors are unavailable
• Integrate enterprise applications through REST and SOAP APIs
• Design and implement secure system-to-system communication using modern authentication methods

🔹 Platform &

• Lifecycle Management

• Manage Workato environments, deployments, and release processes
• Monitor recipe executions, task consumption, and platform performance
• Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure platform stability

🔹 Business Engagement &

• Testing

• Document data mappings, business logic, and transformation rules
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with business users
• Communicate deployment plans, system changes, and issue resolutions to stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and automation coverage

Requirements

✅ 5 years of hands-on Workato development experience

✅ Experience building and supporting 100 Workato recipes

✅ Strong understanding of API development and integration concepts

✅ Experience working with REST and SOAP architectures

✅ Understanding Of Authentication Technologies Such As

OAuth

Basic Authentication

JWT

✅ Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

✅ Experience Integrating Large Enterprise Platforms Such As

SuccessFactors

ServiceNow

Zoho

• Other business-critical systems

Nice to Have

• Experience building custom Workato connectors using the SDK
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale integration environments
• Knowledge of integration architecture and middleware best practices
