I started my career as the sole HR staff at the Japanese company in the Netherlands, also assisting with general affairs and accounting. In this role, I was also responsible for all IT asset management and Internal IT Admin support.
- Since joining the company, completed initial setup and replacement for at least 21 employee PCs by myself, including IT support communications and handling of returned devices.
- Performed setup tasks such as account creation tailored to each job role, VPN and Proxy configuration, and security software installation, as well as shipping PCs directly to employees' homes for remote work.
- Managed the purchase and inventory of spare devices to ensure smooth replacement and continuity of operations.
- Revamped the unmanaged IT asset sheet by incorporating past purchase history and adding automatic depreciation calculations, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.
- Revised onboarding and internal manuals that were previously overlapping and unclear, based on personal experience and direct feedback from employees.
- Improved clarity reduced the average time required for first-day setup from a full day (or longer) to just a few hours in the morning.
- Handled visa applications and extensions for employees and their families, processing a total of 12 cases in the Netherlands.
- In Germany, coordinated visa applications and renewals for 5 employees with the assistance of a legal counsel.
- Managed a wide range of administrative tasks, including contract renewals, daily email correspondence, bookkeeping, new contract execution, minimum wage updates, and employee benefits arrangements.
- Developed a Google Apps Script to automatically log incoming emails into a shared sheet, reducing missed replies within three business days to nearly 0%.
