Dr. Abel is a creative and effective development professional with over 18 years of technical and managerial experience with arket system development (MSD) in emerging markets in South Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Somalia and Cambodia. He has a strong foundation in development, research and systems thinking.
Adept in designing and delivering high quality results measurement systems, Dr. Abel is an expert in developing and managing results measurement systems consistent with Sustainable Agriculture and markets systems. He has designed urban food system strategies for Kisumu City under financial support from FAO, Market Systems Development for Mercy corps in South Sudan and Market systems evaluations for USAID-Feed the Future KCDMS program.
Dr. Abel has the skills to build strong local teams to undertake Third Party Monitoring assessment, analyze, learn and design, manage and assess interventions.

I hold PhD in agricultural economics form Humboldt University, Germany, specializing agri-food value chains analysis. I also holds masters degree in Project Planning and Management from University of Nairobi, Kenya. I studies bachelors degree in Agricultural Economics from Egerton University in Kenya.
