I am currently a management reporting & compliance officer at Prime bank Kenya Limited. I believe my experience and skills as captured in my CV (see enclosed) make me an ideal candidate for this position. I am a graduate of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology with a Bachelor of science degree in Actuarial Science (second class honors) upper division, I am also in my final part of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant’s (ACCA) certification.
My duties at Prime Bank include handling the bank’s funds transfer, financial statement preparation, regulatory reports preparation and submission ie UFAA, CBK reports. I am in charge of ensuring the bank’s compliance with IFRS standards in all ledger postings such as IFRS 16 and IFRS 9. My duties also include maintenance of the bank’s fixed asset register, monthly accrual posting, suspense reports analysis as well as cost and revenue management reports monthly.
This role has sharpened my coordination skills to ensure deadlines are met and management is appraised with key income statement and balance sheet movements.
My technical skills developed over the years and attention to detail in my work have ensured the bank’s compliance. I take great pride in having no regulatory penalties or missed deadlines in my career. My communication skills have enabled me present in various forums to the bank’s top management team.
Strong interpersonal skills have seen me selected to coordinate teaming events in the finance department as well as mobilisation of the teams for departmental engagements such as CSR. I am also a member of key events committee due to my passion and energy in getting things done. I believe in inclusivity and diversity and this has seen me get along easily with every person in a very diverse corporate culture.
