Benta Ngesa

I am currently a teacher of Biology at The Premier School Nairobi.

I have a teaching experience in both international curriculum (IGSE/A-Level) and local curriculum (8.4.4). I have taught Biology in various Private and Public High School in Nairobi and Mombasa.

During my over twenty years of teaching, I have gained experience in innovative practices and modern methods of teaching. I have facilitated talks on demystifying Biology to the twentyfirst century leaner. I have served as a member of the career department, Homeroom tutor, Head of Department Sciences, Head of subject (Biology), member of counseling, Patron Science and First Aid clubs, Volleyball coach and Knec examiner of Biology paper 2.

In 2018 I facilitated implementation of the new syllabus for AS and A level Edexcel Biology. I have been able to raise the students’ interest in Biology through integration of Technology in my teaching. I celebrate my ability to cultivate a good rapport with my learners. In 2022 I also facilitated CIE Paper 5 A level Biology on use of statistics in data analysis and interpretations.

I am a dedicated teacher with a proven track record of responsibility, honesty, flexibility, accountability, leadership, team player, open minded and commitment to professional ethics. I am confident that if I am given an opportunity, my services will greatly contribute in helping the institution achieve its core objectives.
