• Oversee the cross-border movement of finished tiles, tile raw materials and spare parts through Namanga Border, covering imports from Tanzania and exports from Kenya to Tanzania.
• Coordinate lake-based exports of tiles and sanitaryware through Kisumu to Uganda, ensuring timely documentation, clearance and cargo movement.
• Manage cross-border customs clearance at Busia Border for tile exports to Uganda, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi and South Sudan.
• Coordinate sea exports to Somalia from Nairobi to the Port of Mogadishu, including timely space booking, export documentation and efficient customs clearance.
• Liaise with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) on customs policies and compliance matters relating to the EAC Rules of Origin.
• Supervise and monitor clearing agents handling company operations at Namanga and Busia Borders, ensuring compliance, accountability and timely cargo clearance.
• Coordinate coal imports from Tanzania through Namanga Border and coal imports from South Africa through the Port of Mombasa.
• Coordinate with transporters on container collection, positioning and timely loading to support efficient and on-schedule tile exports.
• Manage air exports of tiles from Nairobi to Zambia and Ghana for sister companies, ensuring timely bookings, documentation and shipment execution.
• Participate in business seminars and stakeholder engagements to strengthen collaboration with key market stakeholders, including government agencies.
• Provide training and operational guidance to junior staff on applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to promote compliance and consistent execution.
• Resolve operational and regulatory queries raised by KRA, URA, TRA and other government stakeholders, proactively addressing issues to prevent clearance delays across all borders.
