• Collecting, processing and handling blood as well as other biological specimens according to established procedures; instructing patients to collect the samples properly.
• Performing a variety of clinical laboratory tests in the areas of hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and urinalysis, as assigned.
• Conducting quantitative and qualitative chemical analysis of body fluids such as urine.
• Keeping records and reports on test results according to the established procedure.
• Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Practicing safety, and infection control methods.
• Carrying out routine laboratory tests including malaria, TB, HTC, VDRL, PDT, Bp, Bs, RF, blood typing among others.
