I am always guided by a quote by Dr. Geletu that says, "Know what you have and use what you know." Since childhood, I have always had an affinity for numbers, basically the data we collect. Although some claim that data is the new oil, it is still an artifact that must be mined and a resource that must be used.
Monitoring and evaluating data accompanied by great outcomes and impact is what I find worthwhile. I love creating positive change in the community I live in, while making use of data, and this is why I chose Statistics in my undergraduate studies. Moreover, I furthered my studies doing a Masters in Data Science Major, and a career in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E).
I am a results-based and client-focused Monitoring and Evaluation professional, having worked for three years in impact-oriented implementation for women's empowerment, fight against HIV and AIDs, livelihood support and Sexual Gender Based Violence prevention in urban informal settlements and rural settlements of Kenya. Since M&E is evolving and there are many tools and techniques involved, which require progressive learning, I decided to take up the role of Young Impact Associate at Research PLUS Africa to help me learn more. Currently working as an Accountability, monitoring and evaluation officer.
The journey so far has been fulfilling and I can only look forward to more challenges in the field

I hold a Masters in Mathematical science with Major in data science and I have a Bachelors degree in Statistics.
