Cherotich Miriam

My name is Miriam, a secondary education teacher, graduated from Chuka University in the year 2022 and specialized in Arts (Math/geography) Being a teacher is my calling; I was raised in a family of educators and I believe am an advocate for change . My experience with St lukes boys highschool as an attachee show how passionate I am about helping others. These encounters taught me how to communicate with a variety of people, which improved my capacity to relate to others.

I will describe myself in three words: Ambitious, a go-getter and empathetic. I pride myself on being detail-oriented, analytical, driven and I will be thrilled to work in a field of professionals as teacher.

After graduating last year, I have taught in three private schools , one was where I schooled at for 5 months. After that i got a job in Nairobi so i had to change the location since I used to live in Kericho and worked at Mount Moriah Christian school for three months. I was a floating teacher afterwards i got another contract of three months in Karah Christian Academy and am grateful for the experience i have acquired however short the duration may seem since I feel i have grown in this profession.

I grew up in Kericho and enrolled to school in Siongok Academy where I acquired my primary certificate and managed to score 335 marks out of the possible 500 marks. I then joined St Francis Girls Secondary school for four years and I got a B minus(_). I Qualified to join the university and joined Chuka university to pursue a bachelor course in Education Arts.

I then graduated with a second class upper division. Thereafter i also joined the University of Nairobi and currently doing a part time course, Diploma in Human resource management where i attend online evening classes which Iam to complete this year November.
