I am motivated, adaptable and responsible teacher of English and Literature.(Hons). I have taught for the last 5 years. During my teaching, I have mentored and guided students to be responsible members of the society. I believe in a just society that places the rights of everyone at the centre stage. I currently serve as the Head of English Department where I am involved in curriculum planning, development and delivery. My personal skills include; problem solving skills with the ability to think strategically, excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize and stick to tight schedules. I have a methodical, customer-focused approach to work and strong drive to see things through completion.

1. Teaching English and Literature across all forms.
2. Preparing learners for national examinations.
3. Organizing remedial actions to support learners with performance gap.
4. Participating and/or conducting research in my subjects of specialization.

1. Maintaining students’ discipline.
2. Providing guidance and counselling services in order to help students cope with various challenges.
3. Keeping a record of individual student academic performance and offering remedial actions.
4. Maintaining constant communication with parents to ensure they are involved in the performance and discipline of their children.

Acting Deputy Principal 

Roles

1.  Coordinating preparation and production of course materials for curriculum delivery.
2. Ensuring proper discipline is maintained in the institution.
3. Supervising interpretation and implementation of the curriculum by ensuring teachers prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and other professional documents.
4.  Assisting the principal in the day to day running of the institution.

• I taught English and Literature in all forms.
• I integrated ICT in the learning and teaching process through the use of the LCD projector and encouraging students to make use of the E-Learning resources.
• I also prepared the candidate class for their final national examinations.
• I trained students for debates, music and drama festivals, notably set verses and public speaking.

Roles

• Marked attendance of the students in the class register with the help of the class prefect.
• Conducted class meetings with the students to listen to their issues and where possible address them in liaison with the school administration.
• Identified the gifted, slow learners, problem children, under achievers etc in order to help them achieve according to their needs and abilities.

• Organizing leadership training for school prefects through workshops and seminars where servant leadership skills and models are explored.
• Introduced a leadership training course for students with the main aim of nurturing a new breed of leaders with the right character.

• In charge of the processing and administration of examinations.
• Guiding students on how to maintain academic focus.
• Over sighting all aspects of academic and curriculum implementation.
• Assisting in the organization of academic days, academic outings and benchmarking trips.
