A highly motivated and skilled finance professional with a strong background in financial analysis, modeling, and valuation with practical experience in preparing financial statements, conducting financial analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline financial reporting processes.

During my Finance Internship at Kenya Power and Lighting Company in Eldoret, which started in September 2022, I engaged in various financial tasks and responsibilities. These included receiving cash and cheques from customers, writing cheques, preparing bank transfer instructions, handling bank deposits and cash withdrawals, and uploading EFT and RTGS files in the bank system. I also posted approved payment vouchers, petty cash vouchers, and imprests, while preparing reports on cash balances. Another aspect of my role was making petty cash payments and reimbursements upon receipt of approvals, as well as maintaining records of payments and cash receipts. Additionally, I assisted in the digitization of the corporation's approved, paid, and posted accounting documents.
