David Gitobu

I have a degree from the University of Salford with a 1st class in media and performance and I am currently working as a freelancer on a independent productions. I am keen to break into the mainstream industry and I have the zeal to serve your production needs and come with a wealth of production experience. Having lived in Kenya and studied in the Uk I have high technical knowledge as well as deep rooted connections in the kenyan film industry.

I also have a keen passion for advancing african storytelling through cinema and hope to advance my career in this direction. I look forward to working together.

I have experience working on numerous student film projects through the course of my undergraduate degree. I also undertook a media internship with Olimpiadas Escadale(Chile) an international organisation undertaking Olympics for people with disabilities. I am currently freelancing as a director and Cinematographer on a couple of music videos and independent short films.

I completed my Secondary education at Alliance High-school with a B+ and proceeded to study a BSc in Media and Performance which I graduated with a 1st Class Honours.
