- SUPERVISE WORKERS - Direct steelfixers and steel works, Allocate daily tasks and monitor production
- INTERPRET STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS - Read and explain structural drawings details, dimensions and specifications to workers, Ensure work follows the approved drawing
- MONITOR CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES ON SITE - Supervised activities such as steel erection and slab reinforcement and steel bending, Check that work is carried out in the correct sequence, Preparing BBS
- QUALITY CONTROL - Inspect workmanship and materials before and during construction, levels, alignments, reinforcement, spacing, concrete cover and other structural requirements are correct
- MANAGE MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENTS - Ensure materials are available when needed, Monitor proper usage and storage of materials, tools and equipments
- INSPECT REINFORCEMENT - Check for proper dimensions for, stability, alignment and support, Verify reinforcement size, spacing, laps, anchorage and cover before concrete placement
- MAINTAIN SITE RECORDS - Daily activities, labour and material usage progress and site issues, Report completed activities and defects to the relevant authority
- MONITOR PROGRESS - Ensure steelwork stays on schedule, Identify delays and help resolve site problems
- SAFETY SUPERVISION - Ensure PPEs are appropriately worn, Identify and report unsafe condiand practices on site
- SOLVE EMERGING PROBLEMS ON SITE - Identify practical construction problems and coordinate with engineers to find suitable solutions, Prevent defective or unsafe work from proceeding
