A community development professional with 6+ years’ experience working with both national and international NGO’S supporting program implementation, working with devolved county governments staff and systems at county, sub county and community level on various subjects including sexual gender-based violence (SGBV), sexual reproductive health and HIV community-based interventions.
Experience working with partners including community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, civil society and the Ministry of Health, implementing programs with young women, Adolescents, Youth, SGBV survivors and Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), LGBTQ, Fisher folk, MSM, Commercial Sex worker’s populations.
Experience with USAID, CDC, Bill & Melinda, Rutgers among other donors
I have over 7 years’ experience working in donor funded projects for both National and International NGOs implementing projects focusing on youth, Women, Girls and most at risk populations including Commercial Sexual Workers, LGBTQ and MSM. I am experienced in implementation of Sexual Reproductive Health Programs (SRHR), HIV Programs and social Protection programs including Sexual Gender Based Violence programs. I am currently working Triggerise as the County Program Manager of 4 counties and work closely with the Ministry of Health, Community based organizations and other stakeholders supporting program implementation to contribute to access to comprehensive reproductive health and contraceptives services.
I am responsible for project implementation support, work plans development, coordination with government ministries and partners, Supportive supervision, Monitoring and evaluation, reporting, quality assurance, capacity building, Research and documentation.
I have a BA in Community Development and currently pursuing MA in Research and Public Policy. I believe through this discipline, I will be able to achieve meaningful community development through advocating for a change in policies.
