As a key member of the branch management team, I am responsible for the core business of the Corporation in loan disbursements and collection while handling and recruiting potential clients in view of growing the branch Portfolio. My duties include developing and overseeing financial tracking, resource flows, reporting, and compliance. I report to the branch Manager and work closely with the Finance and Operations department team to ensure a seamless system of workflow within the branch and head office through optimizing current resources, enhancing team capacity, promoting excellence and sustained growth.
- Conducting loan origination through interviews in recruiting potential clients with viable proposals
- Appraise and present processed loan applications to the branch loan committee
- Monitor delinquent accounts so as to take remedial action on each case
- Participate in Agricultural Society of Kenya shows and field days to show case the Corporation's products and enhance business growth
- Attend and participate in branch loans/arrears committee and staff meetings so as to participate in deliberations for improved performance
- Opening of loan accounts once all legal formalities have been perfected
- Recommending loan applications with viable proposals to the branch manager
- Conducting inspections, and valuation of securities, supervise Seizure and disposal of chattels and land securities through auctioneers and reducing delinquency
- Preparation of credit financial reports for presentation to management and the Board
- Authorizing payments and a signatory to the Corporation Branch Bank Accounts subject to set limits

The role involved overseeing and managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Supervise the analysis and reconciliations of various cash books and undertake bank reconciliations of all branch bank accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls
- Monitor bank balances and cash investments
- Oversee the preparation of annual and monthly branch financial statements to ensure compliance with statutory requirements

In this role, I conducted audits as per the audit plan under the supervision of the Audit Senior, assisting audit teams in conducting special audits and reviews as directed by management. In addition, I would support the implementation of audit recommendations through regular follow-ups with accountants.
