My name is EDMOND OMBURA currently working as a Senior ICT OFFICER at Pharmacy and Poisons Board with a 10 years experience my role involves ensuring that the organization's technology infrastructure is efficient, secure, and up-to-date,my main duties are:
1.Managing hardware and software systems: I am responsible for managing the organization's hardware and software systems, including servers, workstations, and applications. This involves installing, configuring, and maintaining these systems to ensure that they are functioning properly.
3.Security: I am responsible for ensuring the security of the organization's ICT systems. This includes implementing security measures such as firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls to protect against cyber threats.
5.User support and training: I provide support to end-users who require assistance with the organization's ICT systems. This may include providing guidance on how to use specific applications or troubleshooting technical issues. I also provide training to staff members on new technology solutions or upgrade.
In addition to these technical responsibilities, i have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other members of my team. I am able to prioritize tasks effectively, manage my time efficiently, and i keep up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends.
1.Experience managing and maintaining computer systems and networks, including servers, workstations, and applications.
2.Knowledge of IT security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls.
3.Experience implementing and managing backup and recovery procedures to ensure data is secure and recoverable.
5.Experience with network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and VPNs.
