Edna Otieno

An effective, proactive, self-motivated and dedicated teacher in the field of Physical Education and Early childhood Education. I am qualified, experienced and proficient in academic P.E (IGCSE and A-Levels), pastoral care, sport coaching and swimming teaching - within an International context. Professionally adaptable and pragmatic with the ability to work across all age groups through demonstrated success in making a positive impact towards holistic education.

I am in my 11 year of teaching Physical Education and Swimming. Through the years, I have had the immense pleasure of;

• For 3 years now(From 2021), I have been teaching PE and Swimming at Crawford International School. Here I am the lead academic PE Teacher, Junior school sports coordinator, whole school PE and Swimming teacher and coach as well.
• For 6 years (2015 -2020), I Taught PE and swimming across the school from Early years to Senior school. I also taught academic PE to the candidates. I was the early years and junior school sports coordinator. It is here that I had the honor of taking Greensteds to the top of County games by being the Nakuru county hockey champions with my unbeaten Under 19 girls.
• For 1 year(2014) I taught Physical Education and Swimming to the whole school in School of Nations. I was also the Head of Girls' sports and early years sports coordinator.
• 2013 April to July, I happily interned at Braeburn Garden Estate under the able leadership of Nathan Reed.
• 2012 April to July, I volunteered at Braeburn International School - Kisumu 

I ma currently working on accomplishing my masters in Physical and Health Education at Kenyatta University. This is after I graduated with BSc in Sports Science. I have also graduated in ECDE with a Diploma.
