Edwin Kinyua

I have over 5 years of experience in credit analysis, most recently working as a credit analyst at FM bank where I was responsible for assessing and analyzing credit risks for a diverse portfolio of commercial and consumer loans. I have a strong understanding of financial statements, credit reporting and have experience with various underwriting methodologies. I am also well-versed in regulatory requirements and industry best practices. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Management from CUEA University and a professional certification in credit analysis.

Role: Manager Credit Analysis 

Key Responsibilities;

• Countercheck loan requests and ensure that they are conform to CBK prudential guidelines and bank’s lending policies and manuals.
• Risk Champion (Credit department) monitoring and ensuring closure of all credit risk issues and providing regular updates via CURA system.
• Customer service champion (Credit department) conducting trainings to improve NPS.
• Verify Compliance to canons of retail lending through inspection of ability to pay, fulfilment of retail MOU requirements and proper documentation to ensure credit risk is adequately mitigated.
• Review all existing retail relationships and making recommendations to the management to aid quality retail lending.
• Prepare draft board papers for review of any retail lending product facilities and guidelines for further review and further approval by the management.
• Recommend policy reviews for customer service and risk management improvement based on experiences and industry trends.
• BCMT member ensuring seamless continuity of business and increased resilience.

Post Graduate Degree.
