Ellaine Assava

I am a practitioner of law with expertise in legal practice management which has encompassed client care, office administration and procurement, and accounts and documents management. I have the requisite competencies to interpret laws and precedents, gather evidence, conduct legal research, pre-trial preparations and case management, prepare pleadings, advice clients and zealously defend their interests before various adjudicating bodies.

My time in legal practice has entailed extensive research in the thematic areas within my expertise, as well as, service as a litigation associate at a busy firm dealing primarily with civil matters, and, appointment as counsel to clients in creative and technology enterprise on matters that traverse regulatory compliance, commercial negotiations, intellectual property management and employment law. Notably, the latter role has facilitated a partnership with an extended reality (XR) production company geared towards developing a training curriculum on the legal regime for XR technology in Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria and South Africa. Accordingly, I am excited about the prospect of contributing to your client’s firm’s undoubted commitment to ethics and standards of practice.

As an honors graduate of both international relations and law, I have acute knowledge of the various means of enforcement of public and private rights, and their respective operative policies, principles and jurisprudence as applied by the relevant domestic and international courts of law. My proficiency can also be ascribed to exceptional academic training from some of the top schools in the country, and my status as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with four years post-qualification experience.
