As a certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), my role is to offer crucial support to healthcare teams and patients. I assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients, while also keeping a close eye on vital signs. Ensuring a clean and safe environment is part of my responsibilities.
Beyond the basics, I play a vital role in patient care by offering emotional support and assisting with rehabilitation exercises. Effective communication with the healthcare team is key to ensuring seamless coordination of care
My internship was at St.Tersa Maternity nursing home kikuyu,where my responsibilities ranged from assisting patients in the wards with activities of daily living such as bathing,dressing,ambulating and vital signs monitoring.We also had patients who needed total nurse care and i was among the team that helped with this.I also worked at Nguluni health centre for 6 months as a community health extension worker.
I just completed my caregiving training(CNA) at Ujuzi fursa Africa.Before that I did a two year course in community health assistant at kenya medical training college.
