Nutritionist and Dietitian — Current The National Spinal Injury Referral Hospital (Level 6), Kenya
Provide specialized nutrition care for spinal cord injury (SCI) patients including paraplegia and quadriplegia
Manage malnutrition (SAM, MAM, overweight, obesity), pressure sores, diabetes, hypertension, TB, HIV/AIDS, gastrointestinal disorders, electrolyte imbalances, and renal/metabolic conditions
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments using the ABCD approach and PES statements
Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
Prescribe therapeutic diets using RDA and food exchange systems
Manage enteral nutrition (PEG feeding) including feed formulation, scheduling, tolerance monitoring, and aspiration prevention

Prepare professional nutrition reports, monitoring tools, and documentation
Design and deliver nutrition presentations and training manuals for healthcare and catering staff
Facilitate capacity building and continuous medical education (CME) sessions for staff
Contribute to improved patient outcomes including reduced complications and length of hospital stay
Conducted nutrition assessments and growth monitoring for children under five and pregnant/lactating mothers
