• Developed an RFP (Request for Proposal) that led to an extensive Internal Business Review, which helped the company secure an additional loan of KES 150 M from its’ bank. This included liaising with the external auditors, availing 200+ financial and organisational documents and regularly assisting in cross-checking documents and explaining business processes to them to help further streamline the review process
• Assisted in preparing and posting of invoices and payments.
• Assisted in daily, weekly, and monthly treasury operations and helped track key treasury operational benchmarks.
• Ensured proper maintenance of all the books of accounts. This includes assisting with month end closing processes and general journal entries.
• Ensuring compliance with taxation and any other financial statutory requirements including filing and payment of NHIF, PAYE, NSSF, HELB, VAT and WHT among others.
• Assisted internal and external auditors by providing financial information as may be required.
• Assisted in financial reporting and providing analysis for the management accounts of more than 20 special purpose vehicles.
• Ensured proper recording and reconciling of the intercompany balances between the entities in the company.
• Stakeholder management with creditors – suppliers and banks to negotiate favourable payment plans

• Assisted in period-end closing activities, including billing of utility, rent, service charge and property management fees from the facilities and management system, in addition to issuing statements by 1st of each month.
• Supported compliance enforcement for collections of billed amounts and apply policy in place to enhance collections.
• Received daily deposits and create deposit detail, receipt of payments journals, file paper documentation.
• Ran bank errands, cheque delivery errands and statutory payment errands.
• Did bank and cash reconciliations and substantiate financial transactions with verified source documentation.

• Developed and implemented a Finance and Operations Policies and Procedures Manual. This ultimately led to cost savings of over KES 10,000 and contributed to the generation of revenues worth over KES 250,000 over 6 months.
• Developed a filing and records system for invoices and receipts. This brought down filing costs by 50% and ensured safety of the records, easy recording, and easy tracking.
• Developed and maintained warehouse layout and inventory recording and storage system as well as templates for purchase order forms and stock requisition cards
• Attend networking events such as the ‘Women in’ monthly series hosted at Metta Nairobi, an event which Desserts Anyone partnered with Metta Nairobi to actualise.
