I am an experienced practitioner in economic and private sector development and related reform in Eastern and Horn of Africa Countries in a career spanning over 20 years. I have extensive experience in designing and implementing country level investment advisory programs having worked on Rwanda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan and Zambia leading various World Bank Group (International Finance Corporation) Programs. I am an economist by training and hold a Master of Science Degree in Law and Economics.
More importantly, I am a Husband and a Father. My true vocation in life!
I have been at the World Bank Group over the last 12 years focussed on designing and implementing advisory programs in several topics including: competitiveness, trade facilitation, agribusiness and other value chains, legal and regulatory reforms, industrial parks and public private dialogue. Prior to that, I was National Head of Business Reform and Private Sector Development in Rwanda. Furthermore, for 9 years, I was a Macroeconomist in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning charged with leading, monitoring and evaluating the country's enhanced structural adjustment program with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group.
I was part of the team that implemented and monitored the hugely successful economic recovery and reform program.
I am an Economist and hold a Master of Science Degree in Law and Economics from University of Utrecht in the Netherlands.
